Ireland is the most generous country in the world following donations during the coronavirus pandemic.
Ireland has come first for the third year in a row on Go Fund Me with the highest number of donations per capita.
Nearly 1.5 million donations were made in Ireland throughout 2020 - with one in 4 campaigns related to Covid-19.
My favourite sculpture in Ireland depicts the generosity of the Choctaw Nation to Ireland during the Famine in 1847. Now in 2020 the Irish people have returned the favour by donating over €100000 on a Go Fund Me page for the Navajo Nation who are suffering so from Covid 19. pic.twitter.com/VPQvp5gRBf

The busiest day for donations was April 21st, at the height of the Covid-19 crisis, when more than 25,000 donations were made
I promoted a go fund me a while back for a baby in Ireland that needed a very rare surgery. Just learned that the child cannot be operated on and the parents are donating the 2 million to another child’s surgery. Incredible display of generosity in a heartbreaking situation.
