Irish Rail has today enforced a ban on alcohol on a number of its services as a result of anti-social behaviour on trains.
Three trains from Dubin to Galway and one from Heuston to Westport on Fridays are affected.
The alcohol bans will only be enforced on Fridays for now.
The company says a small number of staff have been assaulted as a result of people drinking too much and it's extremely unpleasant for other passengers.
The company says it's hiring new customer service staff to police anti-social behaviour and enforce the ban.
