The Ireland-Liverpool love affair looks set to continue as Caoimhin Kelleher has been included in the Liverpool squad for tomorrow's Champions League tie at Red Star Belgrade.
The Cork teenager, who trained with the Republic of Ireland senior squad last month, travels with the Reds to Serbia as back up to Allisson and Simon Mignolet.
He has represented Ireland at underage grades, and featured for Liverpool in a number of pre-season friendlies.
Kelleher has been on Merseyside longer than you may think - he joined Liverpool from Ringmahon Rangers back in 2015.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp appears to think highly of the youngster as he name dropped Kelleher when rumours were circulating about the possibility of Liverpool buying Joe Hart.
"We have the young ones, they make big steps, really big steps, Caoimhin and Kamil [Grabara], that’s really good."
Ronnie Whelan, Kevin Sheedy, John Aldridge, Jason McAteer, Steve Finnan and Robbie Keane were the big Irish names to grace Anfield in the past.
Now we're seeing a new wave of Irish youngsters taking over, with Kildare's Conor Masterson making the bench in last year's memorable campaign.
Here's the squad that is travelling to Belgrade:
Fabinho, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Keita, Firmino, Mane, Salah, Gomez, Alisson, Sturridge, Moreno, Lallana, Mignolet, Robertson, Origi, Solanke, Matip, Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold.
