Irish Wildlife Populations Are Plummeting

Irish wildlife is declining in line with global trends, according to a leading expert.

A new report shows that animal populations around the world have plummeted by 60% since the 1970s.

In its 'Living Planet' report, World Wildlife Fund says human consumption, plastic pollution and climate change are a number of leading factors.

"We do have a lot of endangered wildlife in Ireland, one example would be bumblebees there's been a 12% decline in our bumble bees on average."
