Investigations are being carried out by the Gardai after a seizure of cars and a gun were discovered in the North Inner City yesterday evening.
Gardai who were on foot patrol in the area were alerted to two parked cars.
Following searches of both vehicles, a loaded gun and a canister of petrol were recovered.
The cars, the gun and the petrol were all seized for technical examinations.
No arrests have been made in relation to the seizure.
