The current closing time is 11:30pm for pubs and restaurants.
Lobby groups are looking for a further easing of indoor dining restrictions this week.
The Restaurants Association of Ireland have made a number of suggestions to the government.
One of those is asking hospitality to extend beyond 11:30pm.
pubs closing at 11:30 - right when nights out used to get interesting - is just edging ngl

Last orders for most pubs and restaurants is usually in advance of the 11:30pm closing time.
Another suggestion is to allow non-vaccinated people into indoor dining places.
For the most part, the pubs closing by 11.30 is a pain but it does mean I can finish my night and catch the last bus home

The suggestion for non-vaccinated entries will be once the country hits a certain amount of vaccinated people.
The lobby groups will meet with Government officials to discuss the issues tomorrow.
