A man has died following a road traffic collision in Co Kildare.
The pedestrian, who was aged in his 60s, died after he was struck by a car on the Maynooth Road in Celbridge last night.
His body was removed to Naas General Hospital, where a post mortem is to take place.
Gardaí say that no one else was injured during the incident.
The road was closed for a time to facilitate a forensic examination, but has since re-opened.
Meanwhile, Gardaí in Dublin are also investigating a serious collision.
It happened on George's Street in the city centre last night.
