Gardai have launched a murder investigation after the death of a man in Lucan overnight.
According to various reports, the man was hit by a car in the early hours of this morning after being chased. There is also reports that shots were fired at a house earlier in the night.
The victim was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where he was pronounced dead.
Gardai are investigating and more details are expected to be released this morning.
