The stabbing happened on O'Connell Street overnight
A man has died following a stabbing on O'Connell Street in Dublin overnight.
The street is closed both ways after the attack, and the man was brought to the Mater for treatment.
The street is closed both directions from the junction with Cathal Brugha Street as far down as the junction with Henry Street.
All bus routes that serve the area are currently being diverted via Gardiner Street.
