Pearse Street DART Station in Dublin played host to a Christmas Miracle last night.
One of the Irish Rail train drivers was surprised with a marriage proposal while she was on duty.
Paula was doing her job as usual, driving the DART trains up and down the city.
She was surprised when she pulled into Pearse Street station though, as there were a number of signs waiting for her with words printed on them.
They were arranged in the order of "WILL YOU MARRY ME", and Paula's boyfriend Conor was standing at the end of the platform with flowers in hand.
Paula stepped off the train, to see her love go down on one knee and she said yes!
She admits though that she was absolutely mortified.
"My first reaction when I saw him in public doing that I was like "I will kill him"."
She said she was "so embarrassed" because she hates being the centre of attention.
Her colleagues were in on the proposal and had music playing over the PA system.
Irish Rail Spokesperson Jane Cregan says they even had cover ready to pick up the rest of Paula's shift.
"We also have a release driver on hand so that Paula wouldn't have to get back in and continue her journey."
I am also not generally a fan of the public proposal but sure look we need a little joy these days
