The figures come from the Central Statistics Office.
The number of couples who got married in 2021 skyrocketed compared to 2020.
However, marriage numbers are still below pre-pandemic levels.
Covid restrictions limited many marriage ceremonies over the past two years.
Capacity restrictions on guests had also been in place during the pandemic.
The CSO figures show August was the most popular month for marriages, with January the least popular.
Friday was the most popular day to get married, with Sunday the least popular.

17,217 marriages happened in 2021, which was up 81 per cent from the previous year.
The total number of marriages from last year is still about 3,000 short of the figure from 2019.
Just over 16,700 opposite-sex couples got married last year.
500 same-sex couples tied the knot in 2021.
