New UCC term
University College Cork's confirmed its new term will start on September 28th.
Deputy President, Professor John O Halloran, says these are unprecedented times that require flexibility and understanding.

"We understand that Leaving Certificate students were hoping to get their results sooner."
"But we have a date now and we can provide the further certainty that Round 1 CAO offers will be issued on the 11th of September."

The move follows the announcement that Leaving Certificate results will be released on the 7th of September.
