Michelle O'Neill is the new leader of the Sinn Féin in Northern Ireland.
The MLA is to take over from Martin McGuinness after he stood down last week, due to poor health.
The 40-year-old, from county Tyrone, is the current health minister.
Speaking at Stormont this afternoon, Gerry Adams said her appointment is a generational change within the party, while the former Deputy First Minister spoke too.
