Parts of the Quays will be reduced to one lane for general traffic, as a new layout to coincide with the Luas Cross City came into effect yesterday.
The new measures will see an extra bus lane added from Ormonde Quay to Bachelor's Walk on the Northside, while there will be no right turn from Bachelor's Walk onto O'Connell Bridge for general traffic.
On the South Quays, there will be an added bus lane from Burgh Quay to Essex Quay.

General traffic are asked to continue along Eden Quay before turning off towards Beresford Place and cross the Memorial Bridge onto the South Quays.
There is reports of heavy volumes of traffic this morning as a result, with delays north of the Liffey all the way back to Ellis Quay before 8 o clock this morning.
Meanwhile, it's understood a number of general traffic vehicles are turning right onto O'Connell Bridge anyway, despite the new measures.
