Nicki Minaj's father has passed away
Nicki Minaj's father, Robert Maraj, was hit by a car in Long Island on Friday.
The 64-year-old was taken to hospital, where he died the following day.

According to TMZ, Nassau County Police in New York said it happened at around 6pm.
The driver fled the scene, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
A representative for Nicki confirmed Robert's passing when approached by TMZ.

However, Nicki has yet to make any public comment.
The tragic news comes just a couple months after Nicki and her husband Kenneth Petty welcomed their first child into the world.
She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, who she's been gushing over on Instagram ever since.

Nicki and Kenneth started dating in late 2018, and they tied the knot in October 2019.
Around the same time, she revealed on Twitter that she would be taking a break from music.
