Number of sex crimes being reported on the rise
The government's been criticised for their response to a rise in the number of sex crimes being reported.
Figures out last week show over 3,000 were reported to Gardai during 2018 for the first time.
There were 298 more incidents recorded in 2018 than in 2017.
It's been suggested the MeToo movement was one reason more victims came forward.
