Screen-time use on phones
One in five people between 16 and 21 use their phones for 6 hours or more every day.
A leading developmental psychologist says it could be down to a 'fear of missing out'.
This study by Young Social Innovators has found that the average person between 16 and 21 spends 4 hours on their phones per day.
When it comes to minimal use, only 3% claimed they use their phone for less than an hour.
The survey of 458 young people also found that 60% believe social media has had a positive impact on their lives.
The research is part of a wider study based around Generation Z, which was first launched in May.
