Our Definitive Ranking Of The Top 10 Easter Eggs

Hello, we meet again.

After the success of our own ranking of the best crisps in Ireland, we're back again with a new ranking to celebrate the chocolate-y season that awaits us this weekend.

We've been debating, arguing and in some cases being downright insulting to each other as we made it our mission to compile this list together of our favourite Easter Eggs, especially with the weekend that's in it.

So here we go:

10. Yorkie

The bars themselves are nice and a bit chunky. The eggs themselves are alright, but they wouldn't be anything higher than here.

9. Mini Eggs

The eggs are grand, it's all about the Mini Eggs themselves though as they're only around at this time of the year

8. The Christmas sweets 

   

By that I mean Celebrations, Roses and Quality Street all making a comeback for this momentus occasion. It's a nice thing to have, and the eggs themselves are quite nice.

7. Smarties

It's all about those little mini Smarties that you get inside each egg. A childhood favourite.

6. Milkybar

We can't have one of these lists without a white chocolate egg, and what better white chocolate than Milkybar?

5. Kinder Surprise

These things were the absolute BUSINESS! When you were child you were treated to the odd Kinder egg every now again and again. With these monstrosities, you had an even bigger version with an even bigger 'surprise' waiting for you in the middle.

4. Galaxy

Galaxy eggs as a whole are actually quite nice, but there's just something missing in them that wouldn't give them the jump over the top 3.

3. Ferrero Rocher

Not only do you get a few Ferrero's to munch on, but you get the goodness of the hazelnutty phenomenon in the outlines of the eggs themselves, which is absolutely fabulous.

2. Cadbury's

I don't know what it is about the Cadbury's eggs as a whole, but they really are delicious. You can really taste the milk chocolate from them. Pro tip: Put them in the fridge, outstanding.

1. Lindt

It may be slighty controversial, but when you have the smooth goodness of the Lindt chocolate resting on your tongue then there is no better sensation.
