The US Embassy in Ireland have announced that 2,600 extra J1 visa's have been made available to Irish students.
The US Department of State have made the extra slots available for the Summer Work and Travel visas, which are very popular with students.
It brings the total number of slots available to 7000, the same as it was in 2015.
Last year, those numbers took a hit after new rules were brought in which stated anyone availing of the Summer Work and Travel J1 had to have a pre-arranged job before they went over to the States.
Those rules are still in place, however the Department of State has granted the extra visas.
So, New York? Chicago? San Francisco? Boston? Where to go?
