€73 million in funding for four new world-class tourist attractions has been announced by the Tourism Minister.
Thousands of jobs are set to be created with the developments in Cavan, Donegal, Mayo, and Dublin.
The four attractions are:
- Shannon Pot & Cavan Burren Park, Blacklion, Co. Cavan
-Fort Dunree & Head, Buncrana, Co. Donegal
-This is Ireland, North City Centre, Dublin 1
-Westport House Estate & Gardens, Westport, Co. Mayo
Minister Catherine Martin says they will have far-reaching national and regional economic benefits.
Failte Ireland's Mary Stack says the new facilities will drive visitor numbers to the regions:
"People will go out of their way to come and see these because they're so creative and so innovative."
