60% of women say they've been verbally harassed at night.
A new survey finds nearly 9 in 10 women feel uncomfortable walking alone after dark, while 13% say they've been attacked.
More than one in three report having been followed while walking home.
Director of the National Women's Council of Ireland, Orla O'Connor, says Ireland needs a conversation on consent:
"We need a much wider understanding of consent within our society.
"So we need to have that national conversation about consent and to reduce our tolerance, because there is a tolerance, for non-consensual activity.
"And we need to start that within our primary schools, our secondary schools and through to third level."
