Pádraig Harrington has been confirmed as European captain for the 43rd Ryder Cup.
The Dubliner will lead the visiting team as they defend their title against the US at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin in September next year.
Harrington is the third Irish golfer to hold the role since 2014, following in the footsteps of Paul McGinley and Darren Clarke.
The three time major winner says he is determined his team will play to the best of it's abilities.
