The Pandemic Unemployment Payment was launched in March 2020.
The number of people receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment has hit a record low.
The figures dropped by 29,000 since last week, to almost 163,000 seeking the payment.
That's the lowest number of recipients since the PUP began in March of 2020.

According to figures, around 7,000 people returned to work in hospitality recently.
The increase in staffing was due to the return of indoor dining.
More than 8.3 billion euro has now been spent on the PUP since it was launched.
