A planned U2 visitor centre at Hanover Quay in Dublin has been downsized according to revised plans of the project.
The centre in Dublin's Docklands show that the height of the building has been significantly reduced.
It was put on hold in August following objections, with Dublin City Council raising "serious concerns" over it's impact on a nearby apartment block.
The new height will be just over 12 metres - a reduction of more than 16 per cent.
It's hoped that revised plans for the centre will address the concerns of local residents, while a 400,000 people are expected to visit the centre annually, if it goes ahead.
Ciarán Cuffe, a Dublin City Councillor says a balance between locals and the centre is vital:
"Hopefully this will help address to concerns of local residents who expressed fears about overshadowing and overlooking."
"I think it should be a great project for the Docklands - I think it will bring more people in and make the area a lot more attractive."
"But we need to get the balance right between the needs of the residents and the needs of the visitor centre."
