It's part of Swim Ireland's plans to grow the number of swimmers this year.
A pop up swimming pool is set to tour the country this summer.
The development by the Department of Sport and Swim Ireland is aimed at promoting water safety.
Sports Minister Jack Chambers says it'll be available to individuals and community groups.
The pop up pool will start its journey across the country in Donabate in north Co Dublin.

No timeframe has been given for how long the pool will be in each area, but it'll be in Donabate for 12 weeks.
The pool is 12 metres long and 3.4 metres wide and holds 45,000 litres of water.
It will be heated and swimming lessons will take place after disruptions to pool use during the pandemic.
Local schools are encouraged to use the pool before the summer break when it opens for use.
