Property prices rose last year at the highest annual rate in six years.
CSO figures show they went up by 14.4 per cent nationally.
The increase was slightly larger outside Dublin, compared to the capital.

Crumbs Of Comfort
Chairperson of the Association of Irish Mortgage Advisors, Trevor Grant, believes the rate of increase should ease during 2022:
"Whilst demand is effectively red hot at the moment with a lot of approved mortgage customers looking for new homes."
"There is small crumbs of comfort and reasons to be optimistic going forward"
"We would expect prices to certainly the pace of the increase to regulate for a number of reasons."
