Irish community groups are working tirelessly to support incoming Ukrainian refugees, according to the national association for charities.
A report from the Wheel organisation found that 60 per cent of Irish charities have been part of helping refugees arriving here.
The body welcomed the 10 point 5 million euro in government funding to assist the community response to support people arriving from Ukraine
CEO of The Wheel National Association of charities, Deirdre Garvey, says the Irish are welcoming those fleeing the conflict.
She said that while this is a fantastic finding of the report, there is still a need for governmental funding for the medium and long term.

The survey by The Wheel shows that services provided to Ukrainians included accommodation, donations and clothing.
Out of the 156 organisations polled, 3 quarters stated these additional services are having an impact on their resources.
