The data recorder of Rescue 116 has been recovered from the water off the coast of Mayo.
Crews have been searching for the wreckage of the helicopter that downed last week.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit says the recorder was recovered from the seabed just off Blackrock this afternoon.
It will be transferred to the UK tomorrow for further examination.
