Revenue has seized 10.5 million cigarettes worth over 7.3 million euro at Dublin Port.
Officers discovered the today after searching a container from Vietnam, that arrived in Ireland on a boat from Rotterdam.
The brand on the boxes is "Blue River."
They carried out the search with the help of Revenue's mobile X-Ray scanner and detector dog Waffle.
The cigarettes had been concealed in a load that was described as furniture.
Revenue is continuing it's investigation.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Revenue says:
This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the shadow economy and the supply and sale of illegal tobacco products.
