Rory McIlroy is getting ready to get back out on the golf course this weekend after taking a break since the beginning of the year because of a rib injury.
The former world number one has been practicing over the past week and even went for a few holes with Donald Trump, which has landed him in some hot water.
Rory now says he wasn't expecting the backlash hes facing at the moment for playing a round with the current commander in Chief.
The Northern Irish man says he was branded "a fascist and a bigot" for joining the American President for 18-holes and posing for a photo afterwards.
McIlroy's been speaking in Mexico and insists his decision had nothing to do with politics, but also says he must "respect the office of President of the United States"
