Drinks Ireland have combined the figures for the research.
Ireland's most popular spirit is vodka according to latest reports.
It has almost a third in the market share for spirits sold in this country.
The next most popular spirit is Irish whiskey, followed by gin and rum.
With many bars and pubs closed due to the pandemic, it's no surprise that overall sales have fallen.
Sales of vodka, for example, were down by over 10% on units sold in 2019.

The sale of spirits also declined in terms of products exported from the Republic of Ireland.
There was an almost 16% decrease in spirit sales to those abroad compared to 2019.
Drinks Ireland says this is off the back of several years of growth pre-pandemic.
Irish whiskey in particular has seen a high sales percentage in the US, the UK, Canada and Germany.
Overall, sales of spirits in Ireland dropped by almost 5% in 2020.
