The changes will be implemented by 6pm on Thursday.
Social distancing will no longer be required in certain sectors in Northern Ireland.
These include shops, theatres and indoor venues with hospitality the only exemption.
The agreement was made between ministers at Stormont yesterday evening.
The one-metre distance requirement was in place for retail, indoor attractions and venues.
Social distancing in the hospitality sector will be reviewed by October 7th.
⚠️ BREAKING: The Northern Ireland Executive have agreed to end social distancing in the following settings👇
🛍 retail
🟢 indoor visitor attractions
🎭 theatres
🍿 cinemas
🎶 concert halls ⛔️ Decision on hospitality expected next week— Stuart Robinson (@stuartrobinson1) September 27, 2021
The news comes as the government in Northern Ireland are trying to incentivise spending in the area.
Every adult over the age of 18 will receive a £100 voucher, urged to spend in shops and businesses.
Additional guidance is expected for indoor seated venues that require proof of a Covid cert or a negative test.
Businesses that no longer require social distancing efforts will be advised on how to operate.
This will likely include the installation of screens and enforcing one-way systems.
