People across Ireland will be able to witness a partial solar eclipse tomorrow.

Almost half of the sun will be blocked out by the moon from around 10 am until 12:30 pm. With people in the South East of the country to get the best views.

It will be the deepest partial eclipse since 20 March 2015.

People are being urged not to look directly at the sun while the partial eclipse is happening.

David Moore from Astronomy Ireland says the cosmic event will be spectacular:

"From Ireland, we'll be able to see up to 45% of the sun's diametre covered by the moon." He continued, "The day won't look as bright as it normally does, as a third of the sunlight will be gone."
