Operation Coronation in the South West
14 people have been arrested and a number of items have been seized across the South West.
67 properties were searched in Tipperary, Clare and Limerick today.
The searches were carried out as part of investigations into organised crime in Limerick city and surrounding areas.
- €220,000 in various denominations.
- A car worth €50,000.
- Jewellery to the value of €100,000 and €23,500 worth of suspected drugs were taken in the raids.
- Two bank accounts have also been frozen.
The operation was carried out by 170 members of Gardaí along with members of the army.
13 men and a woman, all aged between 20 and 60 were taken into custody - and are now being questioned by Gardai.
Eight are being held on drugs charges, three in relation to money laundering - while three others have been arrested in relation to bench warrants.
