Planning to holiday in Spain soon? Be prepared for this..

Spain's Prime Minister has introduced some unusual regulations to reduce energy consumption.

He has banned the use of air conditioning in public places below 27 degrees.

The likes of offices, shops, bars and airports will have to set their systems at 27 or above.

It's not mandatory in houses, but the government is recommending householders to do the same.

It comes as Europe grapples with rising temperatures and energy prices.

The Spanish PM, Pedro Sanchéz, has also issued other advice to stay cool this summer.

He's ordered the doors of public buildings to remain closed to keep temperatures down.

He also recommended that his government colleagues refrain from wearing ties.
