It's been revealed that Stepaside Garda Station will be reopening.
The announcement was made by local TD Shane Ross this afternoon.
The station was closed along with many others in 2013, but has been the subject of many campaigns ever since.
The Transport Minister took to Facebook to make the announcement:
The recommended reopening of the station was included in a report, which also suggested opening new stations at Dublin Airport and Dublin Port
