Anyone hoping to buy Ed Sheeran tickets as a gift for someone, is being advised they'll have to attend the gig to get them into the venue.
The singer-songwriter is bringing his Mathematics tour to Ireland in April and May next year with tickets going on sale tomorrow morning at 8am.
However, strict rules will be in place in a bid to stop touts from buying tickets to sell on for above face value.
Tech journalist Jess Kelly has some advice for fans looking to purchase tickets tomorrow morning:
"This is a direct response to ticket touts and the selling on of tickets above face value.
"Fans are being told to have their mobile phone beside them as they attempt to purchase tickets as their ticket will be associated with thier mobile phone number.
"Setting up a Ticketmaster account is also advised."
In a statement to me in the last few minutes, Ticketmaster clarified the process for the gifting of tickets to Ed Sheehan. @newstalkfm pic.twitter.com/AqGvah3lho
