People will be restricted to a two-month stay rent
1,600 students accommodation beds are to become available for tourists and short-term workers in Dublin.
Permission has been granted for five purpose-built student developments to be opened up for other uses, according to The Irish Times.
People will be restricted to a two-month stay and it has only been approved until the 31st of May.
Students will still be staying in the off-campus facilities but will be separated from other renters.
The paper reports the facilities are located on Dominick Street, the North Circular Road and Grangegorman Lower.
The complex on the Southside is the Tannery on Mill Street in the Liberties.
