Those waiting on Leaving Cert results this year may have to suffer from delays.
Higher Education representatives have been told that there are logistical challenges to overcome.
This includes students sitting exam deferrals due to various reasons, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
It's believed the delay could have a knock-on effect with the start of the college year.

The extended waiting time could affect thousands of students in the Leaving Cert cycle.
Exams will start on Wednesday, June 8th and finish on Tuesday, June 28th.
Those who had their exams deferred won't sit the Leaving Cert until afterwards.
It's believed that additional time could be given to allow exam correctors to mark the papers.
