Sydney goes all out for the New Year
Sydney in Australia has welcomed the New Year in style with an incredible fireworks display.
They were set off from the harbour bridge and the Opera House when the clock struck 1pm Irish Time.
Cities and countries in the Far East have been celebrating the arrival of 2020 throughout the day.

The displays in the eastern Australian city have long been renowned as the most impressive and breathtaking in the world.
The first countries to celebrate 2020 were the Pacific Islands of Samoa, Tonga and Kiribati, with Auckland in New Zealand the first major city to do so.
Meanwhile, celebrations will finish around the world at 11am Irish Time.
The American Pacific Islands of American Samoa and Howland Island will be the last countries to welcome 2020.
