Man killed in Tallaght
Gardaí say the man killed in an attack in Tallaght in west Dublin in the early hours of this morning was hit by a van that left the scene.
Shortly before midnight, last night Gardaí received reports of shots being fired at a residence in a housing estate on Tymon Road North.
The victim, a man in his 50s, died at Tallaght Hospital after being rushed there from a housing estate off the Tymon Road with serious injuries.
A man in his early 30s was arrested nearby.
He's now being questioned at Tallaght Garda Station.
Detectives are also probing reports of two disturbances at a house there in the hours before the crash.
They're appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Gardaí are particularly interested in a dark coloured hatchback car that was seen leaving the area around this time.
