NPHET are meeting today to discuss the easing of restrictions, as Micheál Martin said some restrictions could begin to lift next week.
There are positive signs and signals from Government figures who have been optimistic recently regarding the current wave of the virus and the potential for an easing of some restrictions in the very near future.
An Taoiseach said the current restrictions had been due to stay in place until the end of the month however this is now subject to change.
