Cork teenager wins science award
An Irish teenager has been awarded a global science award for his project on removing microplastics from water.
Cork native, Fionn Ferreira, claimed the $50,000 bursary at the Google Science Fair yesterday.

The event took place at Google International headquarters in California, with 24 finalists also competing for the top prize.
18-year-old Fionn, who has competed in the BT Young Scientist Exhibition several times, is planning to attend university in the Netherlands.
