Theresa May has been unable to deliver Brexit
Theresa May will step down as British Prime Minister.
The leader of the Conservatives revealed in a statement that she will quit on the 7th of June, but will remain in the job until a new leader is chosen.
She was elected in 2016, following David Cameron's resignation after the Brexit referendum.
Mrs May resigns after being unable to pass her Brexit deal with the EU through Parliament.
An election will take place to appoint a new leader, with Boris Johnson the current favourite.
