I get what they're trying to do, but it was never going to work.
So with the release of the Power Rangers movie last Thursday, Major League Soccer decided to hop on the bandwagon.
Going back to the old childhood favourite, using the theme songs, they got some of the league's best players to film a promo for the MLS and to use the hand signals as if they were morphin'.
And yes, it's as bad as you think it is:

On the one hand, it got people talking, but on the other hand it's not talking about good things.
