Dublin Airport is currently not served by a railway network.
Lobby groups have called for a train station to be set up at Dublin Airport.
It comes as the Oireachtas transport committee met today to discuss enhancing Ireland's rail links.
The committee is said to have taken an 'all-island' approach to the discussions, including adding routes to the west and northwest.
But one of those in question is a railway station at the busiest airport in the country.

Richard Logue, from the Atlantic Economic Corridor Business Forum, says they should be looking at a new station there.
"If we compare Dublin with Manchester, which is a similar sized airport to Dublin," Logue said.
"Manchester both has a tram or a light rail link to central Manchester and an intercity heavy rail station."
"A similar heavy rail link at Dublin Airport branching off from the Dublin/Belfast line..."
"...and going towards the city centre would allow intercity trains from all over Ireland to serve Dublin Airport."
