Let's hope they had a few snacks on the way..
Irish Rail sent a message out just after half 9 this morning on their twitter account.
They were appealing to the public to find the owner of a stray little dog, who had found themselves onto one of their trains.
The pup made an almost 50km journey from Newbridge to Heuston Station.
She was black and white in colour and photographed inside an office at the Dublin location.
Update: Our lost dog is travelling home after being reunited with her owner who shared tales of how this little dog can scale walls and open doors! Hopefully today’s journey was the final Great Escape! 🐶🐕🦺🐾 https://t.co/pj85fILabg

The good news is the dog was eventually reunited with her owner after the social media campaign.
Irish Rail's Customer Information team in Heuston Station looked after her in the interim.
They said in a post, "Our lost dog is travelling home after being reunited with her owner."
"Hopefully today’s journey was the final Great Escape!" they added.
We're sure it was a memorable morning for the adorable pooch.
