North Dublin is getting two new bus routes, with one of them operating 24 hours a day.
Go-Ahead Ireland's N6 route will link Finglas and Howth Junction, via Beaumont Hospital-allowing commuters to bypass the city centre.
Dublin Bus will now run a 24-hour service along the N4 which connects Blanchardstown Shopping centre with Point Village via Finglas and DCU.
Both services have been labelled a game-changer by Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan:
" The launch marks another achievement for the ambitious BusConnects project. These new services will better connect areas in the north of the city. This will enable more commuters to rely on public transport for all their needs and further reduce the need for cars on our roads".

The buses will run every 10 minutes on both the N4 and N6 at most times on weekdays and Saturdays, with buses running every 15 minutes during the daytime on Sundays and every 20 minutes on Sunday evenings.
The N4 overnight service runs every 30 minutes 7 nights of the week.
