Two people have received medical treatment after they were attacked by a crow in Cork.
Up to 20 people reported being attacked by a lone bird on the campus of Cork IT. Two of those victims required medical treatment from Cork IT’s on-campus medical centre, where nursing staff administered tetanus jabs and prescribed antibiotics.
A spokesperson for CIT confirmed to the Irish Examiner that college authorities requested the assistance of the Cork Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in a bid to deal with the bird.
Details emerged yesterday when one member of staff began discussing an incident he had with the crow near a car park.
It's reported the man was clawed about the head and suffered several scratch wounds. He was one of the two people to require medical attention.
