Dublin finds itself with lots of unused student apartments due to the pandemic.
A slew of blocks were erected before 2020, but factors such as online lectures and high rents have deterred rentals.
The Dublin Region Homeless Executive has proposed them for other uses.

They say by taking advantage of the unused beds, it can help those who are homeless.
According to the group, the accommodation would be most suited for single people rather than families.
The communal aspect of the apartments is the reason for this.
